Service Coordination

Service Coordination
Service Coordination may be essential to assist persons with epilepsy and their families successfully manage their social service, medical, and financial needs. Service Coordinators assist participants in obtaining important services and planning for a better future. Not only do Service Coordinators link participants with outside assistance, they also work with them to maintain those links and reach established goals.

Financial Services
It is critical that some people with epilepsy, 70% of whom may be under-employed or unemployed, have access to financial resources. The Epilepsy Institute provides small cash grants, allowing persons to meet emergency needs such as purchasing medications, and assisting persons access government benefits, including The Earned Income Tax Credit and Supplemental Security Income.
